The Shihoro Train Line Location: Japan
The Shihoro Train Line was constructed in East Hokkaido in 1925. The 78.3 kilometer line crossed over various bridges, over lakes and through forests stopping at a total of seventeen stations. The line was ceased operations in 1987 and the infrastructure was left to rot. Most of it has now disappeared but various bridges still stand and some sections of the track can still be found too. There is only one remaining station, Horoka Station, which consists of a single platform and one sign.
